KBL-□□ is our current-limiting resistor. The current-limiting resistor (CLR) installed on the tertiary side of grounding-type instrument transformers is necessary when using selective ground fault relays (SGR) and directional ground fault relays (DGR). It generates the active power required to operate the SGR and DGR, absorbs the third harmonic generated by the GPT tertiary broken delta connection circuit, and suppresses abnormal neutral point conditions, potential oscillations, and neutral point instability phenomena in ungrounded circuits.
